Despite being on an airplane at the time, the news caused her to let out a scream. Gal also revealed that she had to wait two weeks after auditioning for the role with director Zack Snyder, who kept the details of the project under wraps. The Israeli-beauty admitted that she wasn’t even aware of what she was auditioning for initially, as it was all shrouded in secrecy.

When Zack asked if she had heard of the character, Gal had to feign coolness, responding with a casual “Yeah, I’ve heard of her” after being speechless for a few seconds. However, the actress admitted that she couldn’t contain her excitement when she finally landed the coveted role despite traveling frequently between Los Angeles and her residence in Tel Aviv, Israel.
With a smile on his face, Affleck acknowledged the cheering crowd. During an interview with Ellen, Gal shared how she discovered that she had been cast in a major role while traveling. Upon landing, her phone was flooded with 30 missed calls from her agents. Excitedly, she called them back and was informed that she got the part but couldn’t disclose any details. Gal couldn’t contain her excitement and let out a loud scream which caught the attention of everyone around her. Not only will Gal be starring as Wonder Woman alongside Ben’s Batman and Henry’s Superman on March 25, but she has also secured the lead role in her own solo Wonder Woman movie, set to release on June 23, 2017.
